Focus Area: School to Work Transition

School-to-work transitions are crucial for young people aged 15 to 29, as they navigate the path from education to their first job. In India, vulnerable youth face obstacles due to limited resources and unequal opportunities influenced by gender, caste, and class. To address these challenges, it is essential for young individuals to acquire foundational, transferable, technical, and vocational skills. STW Transition Focus Area focuses on collaborative efforts and partnerships to conduct research and develop evidence-based solutions, aiming to facilitate smooth school-to-work transitions. SKI aims to support the philanthropy ecosystem by prioritizing investment and growth in gender mainstreaming, employability, entrepreneurship, and 21st-century skills within the StW transition domain.
