India’s agricultural future is closely tied to the adoption and innovation around new useful technologies and related interventions. It has the potential to not only increase yields and reduce costs, but also contribute to overall sustainable agricultural systems. Emerging areas of interest include Precision Agriculture, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Remote Sensing and Climate-smart technologies, which will require significant interest and support from public as well as private stakeholders. There will also be a need to equip Indian farmers to adopt and improve their digital readiness towards these solutions.
