Procuring for Impact – Building Pathways to Inclusive Supply Chains

Led by Sattva Consulting and Vrutti - Livelihood Impact Partners, with support from SAP CSR, this initiative enables organisations to integrate inclusive and sustainable enterprises into their procurement processes.

Social Procurement is one of the simplest and most under-used levers to generate both business value and social good. India is a country deeply rooted in small businesses and community enterprises. Through a strong alignment of progressive policy frameworks, digital infrastructure, sector-led models, and a push from India Inc., India’s social procurement landscape is advancing.

This catalogue, put together by Sattva Consulting and Vrutti – Livelihood Impact Partners, with support from SAP CSR, aims to provide practical, credible pathways that make responsible sourcing actionable. It presents five procurement categories that organisations can easily shift existing spends to create tangible impact. Each category features vetted enterprises from across India whose products and practices strengthen local livelihoods, promote sustainability, and build more equitable supply chains.

Whether through gifting, sustainable packaging, pantry essentials, stationery, or office-use supplies, these categories offer simple, high-volume entry points for embedding impact into routine procurement. Every purchase becomes more than a transaction to reflect your organisation’s commitment to people, planet, and purpose.
