Nilav Kumar Pyne

Senior Engagement Manager - Foundations

Nilav Kumar Pyne brings 9+ years of rich work experience spanning across government consulting, project management, strategy and advisory in the domains of education, public health and gender.

During this tenure at Sattva, he has lead engagements with global philanthropies like BMGF supporting them in their gender strategy in India and their G20 efforts. His overall role involves co-creating solutions to meet client’s current and future needs and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

Nilav forayed into the social impact sector with the Teach For India Fellowship in 2014. Post the completion of the Fellowship, he anchored the Recruitment and Alumni Engagement at Teach For India in Delhi for four years. After a six year stint with Teach For India, he joined UChicago Trust’s International Innovation Corps where he led projects with the School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in Delhi. Over the course of his career, Nilav has worked closely with the non-profits, philanthropies and Government officials. His last project prior to joining Sattva involved working with the Joint Secretary (Policy) and Director (NHM) at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to support the roll out of the 15th Finance Commission health grants and the ambitious PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. 

He holds a Bachelor’s in Technology Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dibrugarh University, Assam.
