Kangkanika Neog is an Engagement Manager at Sattva Consulting. She leads the evolving water practice area at Sattva. She anchors a collaborative flagship initiative called the Water Data Exchange where she manages the project and team, and contributes through her technical expertise. She also advises and manages corporate projects around water.

Prior to Sattva, Kangkanika served as a public policy researcher at the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW). During her nearly decade-long tenure with CEEW, she played a vital role in the organisation’s expansion and its work on water, including its formative startup period. Most recently, her research focus was on the water-energy-food nexus, policy coherence and climate-adaptive water management. She has also deeply engaged in policy research around urban water management and the circular economy of wastewater.

She has contributed to several research projects, published in leading journals and newspapers and presented in several Indian and international forums. In 2023, she was invited as a faculty member for an international autumn school at the Sophia Antipolis campus of MINES Paris, where she shared about India’s water experience and the energy-water nexus to energy modellers from across the globe.

Kangkanika holds a Master’s in Environmental Studies and Resource Management from TERI School of Advanced Studies, and an undergraduate degree with honors in Chemistry from Miranda House, University of Delhi.
