The case for cross-border collaboration in science is often made in abstract terms—knowledge exchange, global partnerships, shared learning. Our recent panel on Advancing Collaborative Science and Technology for Global Good at Impact Week reinforced a more grounded truth: collaboration works when it is designed as a system, not an aspiration. Science creates impact only when capital, infrastructure, policy, and adoption pathways are intentionally aligned across borders.
