Launch: Aspirational Districts Forum
In 2018, the NITI Aayog identified 112 districts which are among India’s poorest and had shown relatively lesser progress in achieving social outcomes across indicators like education, health and agriculture. The Aspirational Districts Program of the Govt of India aims to transform these districts.
The Aspirational Districts Forum (ADF) is an initiative by Sattva is to bring together Corporates, PSUs, NGOs, and Government Departments to shine a light on the challenges and best practices in the transformation of these districts and to enable more corporates to direct their CSR efforts towards these districts.
We launched the event on 14 January 2022, with a keynote address by Chief Guest Mr. Amitabh Kant, a case-study presentation by Tata Steel Foundation, and a panel discussion on ‘Best practices & challenges of working in Aspirational Districts’.
