Jai Warrier works with Foundations to implement their social initiatives.
During his time at Sattva, his interest has led him towards Sustainability – inside and outside the workplace. He has also run Employee Volunteering programmes for Sattva’s clients. He is keen on using his critical thinking skills to understand the various intertwined factors that make up our society to deconstruct, understand and solve problems that societies face today.
Jai is a graduate of Durham University with a BA (Hons) in Sociology.
Sonam is currently part of the Consulting Services team at Sattva.
Her experience in the development sector has spanned a wide range of themes such as Maternal Healthcare, Adolescent girls’ Hygiene & Sanitation, Malnutrition in Children, Farm based livelihood project for SHG women, assessments, social audits and sustainable livelihoods. She is passionate about optimal use of natural resources, and about waste management and water saving methods.
Sonam is a graduate from Delhi University and has a Post Graduation in Rural Management from Institute of Rural Management (IRMA), Anand.
Sulagna is an Engagement Manager with the Consulting Services team. Sulagna leads large scale implementation of projects with a focus on Education Technology and grantee management.
Prior to Sattva, Sulagna was an investment research analyst at Goldman Sachs, in the automotive sector. But she was always involved with the development space. She interned with Teach for India and was also a curriculum adviser for a Bangalore based Ed-tech start-up called VChalk. In 2016, her team was one of 6 finalists out of 900 applicants globally to be invited to Washington, D.C to present a paper at the World Bank.
Sulagna holds an MBA from IIM Kozhikode, a B.E. from I.C.T, Mumbai, and a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy from Takshashila.
Lakshmi currently leads the sales function at Sattva. She has been with Sattva since 2010 and has led a diverse set of projects during this time working extensively with leaders of social organisations in building and scaling their operations sustainably. She has also worked with key CSR clients of Sattva in designing, implementing impactful programmes.
Prior to Sattva, Lakshmi has worked with the Manipal Group, Jubilant Retail and ITC Hotels across sales, business development and strategy functions. She holds a PGDM from T.A.Pai Management Institute.
Samant leads Sattva’s leadership hiring vertical, Careers In Impact. He has been focusing strongly on helping social organisations (Non – Profits and Corporate Foundations) identify and on-board leadership talent across India. He comes with an entrepreneurial background and was running a boutique search firm known as Angel Consulting, focused on hedge funds hiring across Asian and European countries.
He was one of the initial members of Longhouse Consulting – a leading retained search firm focused on technology startup ecosystem across Asia and has also worked with organisations like Oracle and Aditi Technologies leading the recruitment efforts for the India Office in the past.
Samant holds a Bachelors degree in Science (Major – Chemistry) from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology and is a Cisco Certified (Licensed) Networking Engineer.
Anita Kumar leads the Strategic Initiatives group at Sattva. She has over a decade of experience in both the private sector and the development sector and has worn various hats – employee in a large corporate, freelancer, and entrepreneur. She was with Procter & Gamble for five years in Sales & then Go-to-market Strategy for All-India. In 2009 she shifted to the development sector to use her skills to solve more complex social issues, and was consulting with different social organisations through her firm InsightsApplied including the Tamil Nadu Government, and various Foundations. For about 1.5 years, she consulted full-time with one of the large skill training organisations in the country helping them across a range of activities including mission alignment, impact measurement, sales strategy and partnerships.
Last year she co-founded a social enterprise which used technology to bridge information gaps about learning and livelihoods for disadvantaged youth. Anita is a graduate of IIM Calcutta (2004) and has an MSc in Development Management from LSE.
Vrunda Bansode leads Marketing at Sattva. She has co-founded two education sector ventures, which focus on experiential STEM education for children. She has been part of the management team at NSRCEL – the startup incubator at IIM Bangalore, where she was also involved in conceptualising and setting up an incubator for early-stage non-profits in association with MSDF. She continues to actively contribute to entrepreneurship development, early-stage venture incubation eco-system and women entrepreneurship development initiatives through workshops, sessions and writing. She has co-authored a book for children called “Become a Junior Inventor” published by Penguin Random House.
Her prior work experience includes working with large corporations such as Bosch, Honeywell, Apple and Intuit in different capacities. She holds a Master’s degree from University of Pune and a PGDBM from Indo-German Training Centre, Mumbai.
Sumit heads the Non-profit Advisory practice at Sattva, working on the capacity building of NGOs and improving investments for their effectiveness and sustainability.
Prior to Sattva, Sumit was a consultant for the United Nations, worked with multi-nationals, and founded a social enterprise working on employability.
Sumit is an alumnus of the University of Oxford where he has an MBA as a Skoll Scholar.
Vivek Badrinath began his career in the French Ministry for Industry. He has 20 years of experience in the ICT sector. He joined the Orange Group in 1996, working in various technical positions , before being appointed CEO of Thomson India in 2000. After returning to Orange in 2004, he became CTO of mobile activities, then joined the Group’s Executive Committee in 2009, heading up the networks and operators division. In May 2013, he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Innovation, Marketing and Technologies. Vivek graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and ENST.
Rajiv is an active angel investor and mentor to multiple startups in the social enterprise and technology space. He is an Advisor and Board Member of many such companies. He is also a general partner at the Exfinity fund. Rajiv has spent more than 2 decades in IT/BPO industry, mainly with Infosys group. He led Infosys’ foray into telecom and product engineering services space in early ’90s. He became one of the youngest Business Head and Management Council members at Infosys. He led Infosys’ foray into BPO as a founding team member of Progeon (now Infosys BPO). He was Chief Operating Officer of OnMobile and was part of senior management team instrumental in helping OnMobile scale as an organisation and consolidate its market leadership. Rajiv is a graduate from IIT Delhi.
