Lakshmi Sethuraman

Lakshmi currently leads the sales function at Sattva. She has been with Sattva since 2010 and has led a diverse set of projects during this time working extensively with leaders of social organisations in building and scaling their operations sustainably. She has also worked with key CSR clients of Sattva in designing, implementing impactful programmes.

Prior to Sattva, Lakshmi has worked with the Manipal Group, Jubilant Retail and ITC Hotels across sales, business development and strategy functions. She holds a PGDM from T.A.Pai Management Institute.

Samant SP

Samant leads Sattva’s leadership hiring vertical, Careers In Impact. He has been focusing strongly on helping social organisations (Non – Profits and Corporate Foundations) identify and on-board leadership talent across India. He comes with an entrepreneurial background and was running a boutique search firm known as Angel Consulting, focused on hedge funds hiring across Asian and European countries.

He was one of the initial members of Longhouse Consulting – a leading retained search firm focused on technology startup ecosystem across Asia and has also worked with organisations like Oracle and Aditi Technologies leading the recruitment efforts for the India Office in the past.

Samant holds a Bachelors degree in Science (Major – Chemistry) from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology and is a Cisco Certified (Licensed) Networking Engineer.

Anita Kumar

Anita Kumar leads the Strategic Initiatives group at Sattva. She has over a decade of experience in both the private sector and the development sector and has worn various hats – employee in a large corporate, freelancer, and entrepreneur. She was with Procter & Gamble for five years in Sales & then Go-to-market Strategy for All-India. In 2009 she shifted to the development sector to use her skills to solve more complex social issues, and was consulting with different social organisations through her firm InsightsApplied including the Tamil Nadu Government, and various Foundations. For about 1.5 years, she consulted full-time with one of the large skill training organisations in the country helping them across a range of activities including mission alignment, impact measurement, sales strategy and partnerships.

Last year she co-founded a social enterprise which used technology to bridge information gaps about learning and livelihoods for disadvantaged youth. Anita is a graduate of IIM Calcutta (2004) and has an MSc in Development Management from LSE.

Vrunda Bansode

Vrunda Bansode leads Marketing at Sattva. She has co-founded two education sector ventures, which focus on experiential STEM education for children. She has been part of the management team at NSRCEL – the startup incubator at IIM Bangalore, where she was also involved in conceptualising and setting up an incubator for early-stage non-profits in association with MSDF. She continues to actively contribute to entrepreneurship development, early-stage venture incubation eco-system and women entrepreneurship development initiatives through workshops, sessions and writing. She has co-authored a book for children called “Become a Junior Inventor” published by Penguin Random House.

Her prior work experience includes working with large corporations such as Bosch, Honeywell, Apple and Intuit in different capacities. She holds a Master’s degree from University of Pune and a PGDBM from Indo-German Training Centre, Mumbai.

Sumit Joshi

As part of the Sattva Leadership, Sumit Joshi heads the Consulting Services practice in New Delhi, India. Sumit manages the thematic programmes of several international foundations and leads the CSR and sustainability advisory of multi-national corporates. He has designed and scaled solutions on micro-entrepreneurship, livelihoods, access to safe water, integrated village development, and organisational development.

Prior to Sattva, Sumit traversed various roles in his career from consulting for the United Nations and working for multinationals to running his own social enterprise. His company APART Education trained thousands of young graduates and improved the employability skills and quality of Indian workforce.

Sumit is an alumnus of the University of Oxford where he studied MBA as a Skoll Scholar.

Vivek Badrinath

Vivek Badrinath began his career in the French Ministry for Industry. He has 20 years of experience in the ICT sector. He joined the Orange Group in 1996, working in various technical positions , before being appointed CEO of Thomson India in 2000. After returning to Orange in 2004, he became CTO of mobile activities, then joined the Group’s Executive Committee in 2009, heading up the networks and operators division. In May 2013, he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Innovation, Marketing and Technologies. Vivek graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and ENST.

Rajiv Kuchhal

Rajiv is an active angel investor and mentor to multiple startups in the social enterprise and technology space. He is an Advisor and Board Member of many such companies. He is also a general partner at the Exfinity fund. Rajiv has spent more than 2 decades in IT/BPO industry, mainly with Infosys group. He led Infosys’ foray into telecom and product engineering services space in early ’90s. He became one of the youngest Business Head and Management Council members at Infosys. He led Infosys’ foray into BPO as a founding team member of Progeon (now Infosys BPO). He was Chief Operating Officer of OnMobile and was part of senior management team instrumental in helping OnMobile scale as an organisation and consolidate its market leadership. Rajiv is a graduate from IIT Delhi.

Sanjay Anandaram

Sanjay Anandaram has spent over 2 decades as an IT industry executive, an entrepreneur, a VC, an advisor to early stage funds, start up mentor and teacher. He’s a founding partner of JumpStartUp, an early stage VC fund set up to invest in technology and technology enabled businesses that leveraged India. He brings significant international experience involving new business creation and business development in India, US, Asia, Middle East and Africa. He’s involved with TiE Bangalore, Nasscom, IIM Bangalore, INSEAD, Singapore and is on the Expert Panel of the Technology Development Board, Dept of Science and Technology, Govt of India. Sanjay is an Electrical Engineer from Jadavpur University, Kolkata with an MBA degree from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Sundeep Vira

Sundeep Vira is a Chicago-based social entrepreneur and Chief Operating Officer for The Academy Group, which seeks to change America’s future by building a national pipeline of young leaders from underserved communities. Vira is also scaling sustainable clean water solutions for excess Arsenic and Fluoride removal, with an international consortium of partners in India. Vira serves on the board of Morgan Stanley Global Impact Funding Trust (GIFT), advisory board for Sattva Consulting and member of the INREM Foundation. Prior work in the social impact sector spans five years in projects in Cambodia, India, Nepal and Vietnam. Previously, Vira had a successful 20-year career in financial investment management, including 14 years with Nuveen Investments and subsidiary NWQ Investment Management, 3 years with family office Oclaner and 4 years with Morgan Stanley. Vira has an MBA with the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, where he currently serves as teaching coach for the Global Social Impact Practicum (GSIP) course.

Nagaraja (Naga) Prakasam

Nagaraja (Naga) Prakasam is a versatile and passionate leader with 26 years of global experience (a decade in the USA and a decade+ in India). As a full time angel investor, he has invested in 21 start-ups, serves 12 boards, has seen 5 exits 1 write-off. He spearheaded Impact thinking in Indian Angel Network and co-founded IAN Impact. His personal mantra is “Start-ups should focus on India’s strength – people, problems, tech”.

He believes in a hands on approach and travels extensively in rural areas understanding the need first hand. He is sought after as a thought leader in the impact space and has inspired many students as a motivational speaker in a number of colleges.

Earlier in his career, as President of CDC Software (world’s 12th largest enterprise software company) South & Southeast Asia, managed sales and India Engineering Centre of Excellence. During the 16 years tenure, grew from Systems Engineer to President involved in growing the company from $50M to $400M with ups and downs. At the age of 35, youngest executive to be given country head responsibilities. Intrapreneurial culture that he inculcated made the company to be shortlisted for prestigious NExT Practices Award for “Promoting Innovation & Entrepreneurship” by NASSCOM.

Currently residing in Bangalore, Naga holds a B.E. degree from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, India and an MBA degree from the San Diego/Kennesaw State University, United States.
