Mehfuz Basar Mollah is an economic policy and regulatory specialist with more than a decade of professional experience across multinational corporations and law firms. He has also spent time working on projects in the UK, Qatar, Bangladesh, and Maldives.
He has co-chaired the economic policy committee of IMC Chamber of Commerce, one of India’s oldest chambers of commerce, in 2019-20.
As the Senior Engagement Manager at Sattva, his core responsibilities involve managing engagements with federal and state government institutions.
Previously, he has worked with ELP, a law firm as well as with the Big Four firms including PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Deloitte. Mehfuz advised clients on issues pertaining to economic development, trade facilitation, investment promotion, data protection, competition law, and legislative reforms. His clients included private, federal, state, city government institutions and international development organisations like the World Bank, ADB, and DFID.
Mehfuz is an Economics graduate from St. Xavier’s College. He also holds a Master’s in Economics from Delhi School of Economics. Subsequently, he pursued a Bachelor’s of Law from Delhi University and Master’s of Law from London School of Economics and Political Science. He was a recipient of the Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship for his post graduate degree at LSE.
