Kaushalya is an International Development and Public Policy professional with over eight years of work experience. Her diverse policy-making experience includes projects with leading international foundations, non-profits, academics, think tanks, and governments across the world. Her expertise is in catalysing multi-stakeholder partnerships and building coalitions to effectively navigate complex interdisciplinary policy ecosystems.
As an Engagement Manager at Sattva, her work is focused on Public Policy Consulting and Government Advisory. Ensuring delivery excellence by taking overall accountability for client success. She is responsible for co-creating solutions to meet client’s current and future needs and working closely with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.
Prior to joining Sattva Consulting, Kaushalya worked with the World Wide Web Foundation, founded by the inventor of the web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee. At Web Foundation, she established and led the Tech Policy Design Lab which brought together stakeholders from over 100 governments, technology companies, civil society organisations, and academia in more than 30 countries in the US, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific to co-create policy and product solutions.
Kaushalya’s experience includes working with Partnering Initiative UK, the UK Government, and the Oxford Covid-19 Government Response Tracker. The Digital Skills Partnership Strategy which she drafted for the UK Government’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport aims to build a digitally competitive and inclusive economy. As a Researcher to a leading Member of Parliament, Kaushalya advised policymakers on their policy positions to improve governance and reform public services. She has also campaigned with Oxfam Ireland prior to leading humanitarian communications and advocacy for six disaster and conflict responses at Oxfam India.
Kaushalya holds a Master of Public Policy from the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford where she was a Public Service Scholar. She also holds an MSc in International Development from University College Dublin, where she was an Erasmus Mundus Scholar.
What excites her most about working at Sattva is the human-centred approach to bringing multiple stakeholders together and co-creating effective, inclusive and sustainable models of change to maximise the collective impact and achieve a shared vision.
