What is Sammaan? What does it mean for CSR?

June 11, 2016

Sammaan, an initiative founded by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), BSE and Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), is a platform that bridges the accountability gap between corporations and NGOs. Companies today find it increasingly hard to navigate the world of corporate social responsibility and have no way to validate the legitimacy of the NGOs or be sure of how the funds are being utilised. With Sammaan, corporates now navigate the NGO partnership process by reviewing NGOs with similar values and focus areas. The aim of Sammaan is to enable corporates to access credible NGOs to generate funds and enhance transparency, visibility and social outcomes.
